The Niger Delta Catholic Bishop Forum on thursday morning after their meeting in
Portharcourt call on the federal government and Niger Delta militants, especially
Niger Delta Avengers to open up talks again for dialogue so that the country will
move forward as there is too much economic crisis in the land due to the current
pipeline vandalism in the Niger Delta Region.
The catholic bishops also warned federal government not to use insulting words like,
Crush, Flush and wipe, words like this will destroy things rather than repair, they
are not water that you flush anytime they are humans just like everybody.
The reverend fathers also call on president Muhammed Buhari to look into means of
revolving the current economic hardship that Nigerians are experiencing rather
than spending money in the search of oil in the Lake chad and Benue Basins in the
north, now that oil price has fall that it may not bring any change to national
economy.
The Bishops also conclude that for peace to reign in the Niger Delta Region is
when federal government will look into the problem of agitators and deal with
it diligently and not by force, when you take something from the Niger Delta
make sure that you give something to the Niger Deltans.
By doing this we the Niger Delta Catholic Bishop Forum, NDCBF, portharcourt, promise
you that there will be peacce in the Niger Delta region.
